JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Provide vision, leadership, analysis and design expertise in architecting and executing Enterprise Software solutions on-prem and cloud-bases.

· The successful candidate will provide support to various applications/leadership team, collaborate with technology and management teams to understand structural requirements and define standards for how software will be designed, built, integrated, and managed across the organization.

Essential Functions:

• Defines and implements software architecture designs/patterns including but not limited to coding standards and examples, domain driven designs, microservices and prototypes to ensure consistent repeatable implementations by the software development team
• Provide leadership and guidance for developing and maintaining software and standards which adhere to industry best practices
• Participates in Agile software development projects to design, code, and test websites and APIs, and microservices to deliver quality services promptly.
• Articulate the trade-offs, benefits and risks of all architecture and design solutions
• Clear and concise communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff
• Provides broad understanding of platforms and applications across multiple technologies
• Ensure all support tasks conform to established standards, this includes incident management, communications, IT compliance and risk management
• Ensure performance meets or exceeds business user/customer SLA and expectations

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrable working knowledge of various application software technology paradigms, e.g. web, microservices, APIs, mobile apps and supporting programming languages
• Design and implement cloud and on-prem solutions in a hybrid environment
• Experience estimating timelines and requirement discovery focused on web and microservice environments
• Expert working knowledge of data design, development with SQL Server and document storage solutions such as CosmoDB and MongoDB
• Experience designing and implementing API gateways
• Ability to define, maintain and monitor standards through use of peer code reviews and automated processes to ensure compliance
• Demonstrated ability in applying programming and testing techniques and tools such as debugging
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the functional design and architecture of application systems across multiple technologies and platforms
• Experience leading and providing feedback on peer code reviews

Required Education/Experience:

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 10+ years’ work experience in all phases of development and supporting information systems and technologies and associated methodologies
• 10+ years’ experience of development experience architecting web sites, microservices and APIs using the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Node.JS, C#.Net
• 10+ years’ experience using T-SQL and SQL Server to create stored proc, views, and schemas with upstanding of query optimization and execution plans
• 10+ years’ experience with unit testing frameworks
• 5+ years’ experience defining and implementing document storage solutions such as CosmoDB, MongoDB
• 5+ years’ experience building cloud solutions (Azure preferred)
• 5+ years’ mentoring, coaching and leading engineers
• Experience building responsive implementations for all browsers
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies utilizing IaC and PaaS and Azure Pipelines
• Experience with SDLC tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket (or other Git server)
