6 - 12 Month Contract - Inside IR35 PAYE/Umbrella Agreements - £400 - £425 p/day - London / Remote Working. (100% due to pandemic, fully flexible arrangements upon return to operational environment.)
Global Law Firm seeks Azure Engineer to play a vital role acting as the Azure subject matter expert (SME) to assist with their Azure migration journey. Whilst there will be some elements of solution design and architecture, this is a project focussed engineering role which requires hands on experience of migrating a large, complex, global Wintel server infrastructure into the Azure cloud.
Working within the technical projects team the Azure Migration Engineer / DevOps Engineer will work towards achieving the build of a mirrored QA and Dev environment within the Microsoft Azure cloud. This will incorporate all core systems employed by the corporation such as production O365 services along with virtualised server, storage and network infrastructure to support multiple production systems and their migration journey into Azure.
Some of the technical aspects of the work will include configuration and management of the Virtual Machines and Virtual Network within Azure, development of scripts in Powershell or Python to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations; utilisation of native Azure services to meet technology and resiliency requirements and drive the Identity, Access and Configuration management/monitoring strategy and disaster recovery and business continuity plans, from an infrastructure perspective. Within the programme of work you can expect to be involved in work relating to both virtual servers (Hyper-V, VMWare, Windows Server etc) and MS Exchange/Hybrid O365, SQL Server or Sharepoint services being migrated to the cloud with many elements at different stages of the Azure transformation journey. This promises to be an interesting role to which you can apply your knowledge of Azure and ideally exposure to AWS and/or GCP.
We are searching for an Azure Cloud Engineer / Azure Migration Engineer / DevOps Engineer / Windows Infrastructure Analyst who can demonstrate a broad range of infrastructure engineering experience in both onprem and cloud based environments, incorporating Windows Server, AD/GP, MS Exchange/O365, Azure Virtual Machines, Networks, Administration Portal and experience scripting in Powershell and/or Python. You will possess expert level Azure experience (combined ideally with some AWS and/or GCP exposure) and have experience of enterprise level migrations into the Azure cloud where you will have provided both solutions design and guidance along with hands-on delivery expertise.
You will be comfortable working in high availability environments and capable of guiding an organisation away technical debt issues whilst considering security requirements. Experience gained in Law Firms, Solicitors or Legal Services companies would be highly beneficial. MCSE Cloud Platform & Infrastructure or equivalent preferred. Exceptional communication skills are pre-requisite.
Excellent opportunity to work with a well respected, international Law Firm with an enviable reputation and a significant infrastructure footprint. Rolling contract engagement available.
