Duration: 06 Months contract to hire

Day to day:

  • We are looking for two Senior Salesforce Engineer who will be supporting an existing Point of Care CRM project that is critical to the customer base of this healthcare client. They will be responsible for heavy collaboration between architects, product management, design and will be building large enhancements to the existing platform. This Senior Salesforce Engineer will be joining a team currently made up of 3 Engineers in the US and 4 offshore but is in the process of growing the team to 12.
  • Roughly 50% of their time will be spent mentoring more junior people on the team, conducting peer reviews as well as reviewing the code of external vendors and internal teams. They will also spend time working on tickets assigned to that sprint, having architecture conversations and signing off on packages before moving them out for release.
  •  Must haves:

  • 7+ years of experience of hands-on custom development, architecture and design as a Salesforce Engineer or Architect
  • 5+ years of custom Salesforce Lightning and Apex development
  • Recent, hands-on development experience within Health Cloud OR Service Cloud
  • Strong experience with UI/UX development
  • Understand the principals of building managed packages for AppExchange
  • Familiar with Salesforce Lighting Security
  • Certified at least as a Salesforce Platform Development I
  • Experience working in an Agile environment involving sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint demos and retrospectives
  • Plusses:

    We need someone to start ASAP. The role is currently remote. The office base is Telford, you will be expected to attend the office at least 2 days per week once staff return to the offices. 

     

    Role.

    You will support all elements of development, with a relentless focus on quality and usability. You will work closely with Architects, Technical Business Analyst’s and others to deliver high quality solutions, using recognised standard methods.

     

    You will be flexible, deeply skilled in at least one programming language and focused on producing excellent code.

     

    You will be a credible, influential and encouraging team-player, with a good understanding of and background in system integration.

     

    Specific responsibilities will include:

     

    •       Ensuring services are robust, scalable and secure, with all appropriate security controls embedded and designed to specification;

    •       Writing clean, secure and well-tested code to specification;

    •       Building a culture of continuous service improvement, ensuring that key services “owned” by your team are regularly analysed, maintained and improved;

    •       Leading root cause analysis of system issues;

    •       Providing good solutions to business challenges;

    •       Actively participating in the Developer Guild;

    •       Following and helping to improve best practice guidelines; and

    •       Nurturing and inspiring colleagues.

     

    Experience:

     

    •       Software and system design and development;

    •       Writing clean, secure and well-tested code to specification;

    •       Unit testing;

    •       Continuous improvement in software development;

    •       Mentoring and coaching others; and

    •       Agile methodology.

    •       You must have knowledge of Java 7

    •       experience building and consuming APIs, both XML and JSON

    •       Oversight of an entire code base

    •       Work with Architecture

    •       Organise code

    •       Understanding the bigger picture

    •       Ensuring Tech Debt isn’t built up

      

    Knowledge:

     

    •       Test Driven Development;

    •       Architecting systems and applications;

    •       DevOps ways of working;

    •       API design and management; and

    •       Software Documentation.

    •       Knowledge of Job Scheduler

    •       Apache Camel
