My client based in London, are looking to hire an excellent DevOps Architect on an initial 6-month contract at a day rate of 500-600.

You will be working on a business-critical project to move one of the key products from on-prem to a Cloud solutions (AWS). As part of this migration you will be looking to innovate a number of automated solutions to improve business efficiency.

The Role

  • Actively contribute to the development and deployment of CI/CD services
  • Help to advance the project using open source, docker and micro-service architecture knowledge

Role Overview

A new vacancy has arisen for a Systems Design Engineer within the Air Support Service, to support the development and delivery of fast jet EW Operational Support capabilities for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). The Systems Design Engineer will be based in Warton, reporting to the LTEWP Delivery Integration Task Group Lead within the EW Support Solutions team, and will be responsible for Localising fast jet EW Programming (LTEWP) Systems Design Engineering activities during delivery of EW Operational Support for the LTEWP project. This project will see the delivery of an EW Operational Support capability to the Royal Saudi Air Force, allowing in-country production of EW mission data for the RSAF fast jet fleet. The role will involve:

  • Development of the LTEWP System Design Document
  • Review and agreement of Supplier Product Specifications
  • Production and Maintenance of LTEWP Project Engineering documentation (Engineering Management Plan)
  • Engineering support to project ELCM reviews
  • Review and agreement of Supplier Qualification and Acceptance evidence
  • Supporting the integration of equipment with the IT reference rig and network
  • Development of AEC equipment engineering capabilities

Tasks/ Responsibilities will include:

  • Development of the LTEWP System Design Document
  • Support the definition of supplier requirements documentation;
  • Support the review of supplier technical documentation;
  • Support supplier technical reviews;
  • Support supplier qualification and acceptance testing;
  • Support to LTEWP ELCM review activities;
  • Provide support to the identification of current equipment engineering capabilities within AEC;
  • Provide support to the agreement of desired equipment engineering capabilities within AEC;

Skills/Prove Ability will include:

  • Proven ability in systems engineering and integration.
  • Proven ability in coaching and mentoring of engineering staff.
  • Familiarity or proven ability with EW Operational Support methods would be an advantage.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation and with the Customer.
  • Understanding of fast jet support programmes is preferable.
  • Proven ability in Saudi projects is preferable.

What we're looking for in you.

  • A systems engineer with a background in equipment development and delivery, you will ideally also have proven ability in EW Operational Support.
  • An ability to coach and mentor other engineers would be required.
  • Proven ability of fast jet support programmes and working with Saudi customers and partners is preferred.
  • This post will be located in Warton with a requirement for regular travel to European suppliers and less frequent travel to Saudi Arabia.
