Automation Test Engineer - Investment Management
A Test Engineer / Test Analyst is required to join our clients London based QA / test team on an initial 12 month contract. The Test Engineer will work on a global initiative to ensure the quality of developments to the in house SQL Server data warehouse. The role will focus on building out an automation framework.
The test team are currently building out their test automation framework and require the Test Engineer to have strong experience with automation testing with tools like Specflow, BDD, Piton.
Data & SQL
Strong SQL skills are required, this includes joining tables, unions, aggregating, having statements. Interrogation of the SQL Server database is also key.
Agile
The environment is an Agile one and the team have frequent SCRUM meetings and work to fortnightly sprint cycles. We are looking for T-shaped candidates.
Technical
This test team work closely with developers and have very good levels of SQL.
Modern QA Mindset
For this role we need a test engineer with a modern attitude to testing, a knowledge of DevOps would be highly useful.
This role is part of a larger ongoing project bringing together the two systems (Oracle and SQL Server) into one system, therefore data conversion experience is very important for this Test Engineer / Test Analyst.

My client based in London, are looking to hire an excellent DevOps Architect on an initial 6-month contract at a day rate of 500-600.
You will be working on a business-critical project to move one of the key products from on-prem to a Cloud solutions (AWS). As part of this migration you will be looking to innovate a number of automated solutions to improve business efficiency.
The Role
- Actively contribute to the development and deployment of CI/CD services
- Help to advance the project using open source, docker and micro-service architecture knowledge
- Ensure that the best suited and capable solutions are being implemented, ideally bringing knowledge of such tools/solutions
- Experience of introducing practices such as TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps to teams
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure
- Engage with multiple stake-holders, at varying levels of management in engineering, ensuring that the implementation is reflective of the primary requirements.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to develop, maintain and deploy systems for use across engineering.

An international client is looking for an Azure Security Architect to join its well-established security team in London. The successful candidate should have solid security experience within Azure and act as an SME.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build and implement security measures, validation procedures, programming and documentation (Azure Cloud Security, Azure Security Centre, DDoS and Application Gateway)
- Design an automated framework for Security Tool deployment and development.
- Ensure Products, Projects and Programmes are secure by design.

We are working with a leading public-sector organisation who are searching for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions, working within a scrum team. You will also be expected to be involved with some manual/exploratory testing where automation is not applicable.
You will be working within the Visual studio domain for C# or IntelliJ/Eclipse for Java, writing both the initial Behaviour driven development tests and the automated test code itself. The post-holder will take define Product Backlog Items, User Stories or requirements and translate these into tests.
What is the aim of the position?
- To provide fast feedback to the development teams
- To ensure the right level of automation is applied
- To complete ongoing maintenance of automated tests
Expected Tasks
- Writing Test Automation Code
- Create test strategies, plans and other testing documents for major/complex projects
- Maximise defect detection prior to release and confirm customer requirements and expectations are met
- Review testing documents written by junior team members
- Analyse requirements/user stories and design automated or manual tests and acceptance criteria
- Peer review test scripts produced by other testing colleagues. This will include writing Behaviour Driven Tests
- Lead, co-ordinate and participate in test execution, defect recording and capture of test results using agile Scrum and/or waterfall approaches as required
- Summarise results of test execution into test reports, during and on completion of testing
- Be recognised as a software testing SME, mentor business SMEs in support of user acceptance testing
- Suggest and implement improvements to test processes especially in the area of test automation
To be successful you will need…
Essential:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tester to be part of a global development team working on greenfield projects within the Front Office Technology team. The current focus is currently building new applications within their Trade Services division, using an Agile approach.
Experience required:
- Demonstrable experience in automation testing with Java within Agile environments
- Prior experience running off-shore testing teams
- Capable of providing technical leadership to junior members of the team
