Senior Application Developer

Job Responsibilities

This position is for a web application developer with MNET's Implementation Services, reporting to the Senior Director of Professional Services.

This position is available on a contract, or a contract-to-hire basis. Compensation is negotiable, based on experience. MNET is based in Chicago; applicants may work remotely.

The job responsibilities for this role include:

• Developing applications and customizations related to cloud-based telephony platforms such as PureCloud, Sharpen, TalkDesk, 8X8, and others.
• Utilize SOAP and REST web services to develop interfaces and customizations between host applications and cloud-based telephony platforms
• Utilize JSON and similar data interchange formats to develop interfaces between host applications and cloud-based telephony platforms

• Competency with C, C#, C++, and Java, Java script ,Node js, and PHP as needed for application development
• Competency with MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
• Participate in design and detailed requirements review meetings internally with MNET personnel as well as in client situations
• Responsible for application unit testing and supporting System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing

• Responsible for resolving service tickets escalated from MNET Support for issues related to integrations developed for cloud-based telephony platforms
• Develop appropriate design and technical documentation for customizations to cloud-based telephony platforms
• Provide leadership in architecting and designing customized cloud-based telephony solutions
• Assist MNET Sales with estimation of effort related to new business development and change requests for existing projects
• Provide leadership in understanding the technology roadmap provided cloud-based telephony providers
• Provide input for development of Professional Services deliverables and collateral
• Provide client turnover, walk-throughs, and training sessions as needed, within the scope of support agreements
• Travel as necessary for supporting implementation efforts.
• Assist Senior Director of Professional Services with supervision of other Implementation resources.

Work Experience

Candidates for this position should have at least 3 years’ experience working with cloud-based telephony platforms in the contact center and customer experience industries. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

Candidates for this position should have the following education and skills

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution
• Superior analytic, verbal communication, presentation, and writing skills
• Ability to prepare high quality design and technical documentation
• Ability to perform multiple roles simultaneously, including working on multiple project assignments and personnel management
• Ability to participate in business development and sales activities, including solution definition and estimation of work effort
• Strong competency with the following technologies:
• SQL and stored procedures
• C#, C, C++
• .Net Framework, Visual Basic
• JavaScript, VB Script, JSON
• XML/XSL/XSLT
• HTML/CSS
• SOAP and REST web services
