Java Developer

ROLES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

· Design, develop, and debug web-based software solutions, with afocus on Java, API's/ back-end services and relational database technologies.

· Analyze, review, and rewrite programs to increase operatingefficiency or to adapt to new program requirements.

· Effectively communicate and resolve issues with cross functionalgroups to escalate issues or changes in scope.

· Communicate clearly and concisely with clients,customers and management.

JOBREQUIREMENTS

· Experienceworking as a hands-on developer.

· Excellentdebugging and troubleshooting skills.

· Experiencein the telecom or cable industry a plus.

· Provenability to perform well in a deadline-sensitive environment.

· Agile/Scrumdevelopment methodology desirable.

· Demonstratedsuccess in high volume, low latency business critical systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Proficientsoftware development skills in Java and Python.

· Strongunderstanding of the J2EE architecture.

· Familiarwith Java technologies: J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring boot, Hibernate, JDBC.

· Strongunderstanding and development experience in Web Services (REST and SOAP).

· Experienceworking with relational databases (ORACLE, MYSQL).

· Experiencein the Linux/Unix environment.

· Experiencewith Atlassian JIRA, Confluence a plus.

· Experiencewith front end JavaScript/HTML5 including AngularJS a plus.

· Workingexperience with NOSQL databases (Couchbase, MongoDB) a plus.

· Workingexperience with Apache Kafka, AWS, CloudFoundry, Akka a plus.
