Sr. Analytics Systems Developer (Remote)

The Analytic Systems Developer will be part of a newly formed Analytics systems team, and have an opportunity to work on enterprise projects across different parts of the company. These projects will connect data and solve problems for the business. This is an agile role with a focus on using different tools and technologies to ensure that company’s business teams are best serving their customers. In this role, candidate will work with decision makers and domain experts as the team builds the infrastructure and tools needed to lead the industry.

Job Description:

  • Analytic systems team operates like a start-up – the pace at which they participate is very fast and they work with all areas of the organization – looking for ways to improve the business functions and gain an advantage over their competition
  • They use newest technologies – he called them experimental technologies. For example they are using .Net 5 preview – which was released on June 10th of this year
  • Their Developers are on .NET 5 – absolute latest – At a minimum developer must be strong with .Net Core
  • .Net has version 1, 2, 3, then went to Core, and now added 5
  • They are also leveraging artificial intelligence (AI knowledge is a plus but not required)
  • Experience with .net core and exposure to .net 5 – and C# V8 (came out in 2019) – this is requisite.
  • Lease framework is .Net Core

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop proof-of-concept applications and services to test feasibility
  • Integrate different systems to improve productivity, reliability, and transparency
  • Transform data to optimize performance and ease of use
  • Develop code and processes that are repeatable, modular, fault-tolerant, well documented, and easily maintained
  • Monitor performance of solutions and provide support when required
  • Read and write data between APIs and our internal data warehouse
  • Maintain balance between pragmatic and deeply rigorous solutions depending on business context
  • Work with vendors, and within the analytics organization to deliver on solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years' experience in developing software with primarily C# and .net. Experience with scripting (such as JavaScript, Python, Selenium, PERL), version control (such as Git, TFS, Subversion), object-oriented languages (Java, Python) and common software design methodologies (MVVM, microservice architecture).
  • Experience developing end-to-end, scalable data driven solutions, including frontend on the desktop (WPF, Windows Forms) and web (ASP.net Core, React, Vue.js) and backend systems integration (such as SQL server)
  • Experience with .net Core required, and .net 5 preferred
  • Experience with C# V8
  • Experience in data pipelines and APIs
  • BA/BS in computer science or applicable experience
