Monitoring Configuration: Once the tool is deployed and out-of-the-box monitoring data is consumed, the successful candidate will collect, analyse and implement the monitoring requirements, achieving strong integration between the monitoring tool and the client's application. This will include:

  • Setup of infrastructure and database monitoring
  • Configuration and optimization of business transaction detection
  • Configuration of end user experience monitoring
  • Perform end user training to target application teams 

Essential Skills:

  • Very Good working knowledge of AppDynamics
  • Strong knowledge of other monitoring tools, performance management or analytics tools will be a distinct advantage
  • Proven background in application installation/deployment.
  • Strong Java knowledge (J2EE, Java Memory, JVM parameters).
  • Strong UNIX or Linux skills.
  • Scripting skills of Perl, Shell Scripts and SQL queries
  • Strong Database and SQL skills (Oracle or Sybase)
  • Good understanding of the development life cycles
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with people at all levels and influence the progress of tasks
  • Experience in delivering presentations and training courses
  • Experience in writing technical documentation 

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Mandatory: Background in Application Support, Application Development, System Administration and/or Application Performance Monitoring Tools.
  • Experience within the IT Industry, preferably within Investment Banking
  • Application Support or Development Experience
  • Experience in working with both onshore and offshore staff, within a globally diverse team
  • Can work with internal and external Service Providers
