Tagence is seeking a full-time software engineer with customer facing experience for immediate hire. This position is contingent upon customer approval.
PROJECT ROLE
You will work as part of a small team maintaining and updating a public-facing government website on a long-term, stable contract. Ideal candidate is a team player that can take the reins on individual projects and deliver on time. Work includes web, application, and database development and maintenance. Programming language primarily used is Cold Fusion; however, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Alfresco, and with Atlassian tools (mainly Jira, Confluence, FishEye), configuration and utilization, server configuration, and Google Analytics Engine. Programming certifications and project management experience are a plus. You must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with customer to obtain understanding of the project requirements to recommend the appropriate technology to accomplish requirements
Maintain a solid foundation of communication between the customer and team
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
Support both client and company programming standards
Perform unit testing of all applications developed and/or enhancements to systems
Develop or keep all relevant process documentation up to date
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of customer facing experience (preferably including experience with Federal clients)
Solid understanding of Web and server infrastructure
Comfortable with maintenance of existing code base as well as new development
Experience with Oracle/PL/SQL, mySQL or MS SQL development and database administration
Understanding of other web languages like HTML5, CSS3, XHTML, JavaScript, XSLT, and XML
Experience with ColdFusion Model-View-Controller (MVC) frameworks – ColdBox and/or Fusebox
Experience with jQuery and jQuery UI JavaScript libraries
Experience with Code repositories such as Subversion or GIT
Experience maintaining website configured using IIS & Cold Fusion Server
Experience with web development in accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
Experience with Adobe PDF Form creation, JAVA a plus
Experience with cloud based technologies
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree Required in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related discipline
3+ years’ experience in web, application and database development and maintenance
Strong Cold Fusion experience
2 years current Oracle/PL/SQL or MS SQL development experience
CLEARANCE
Public trust clearance required; all other clearances welcomed
