The ideal candidate in this role will be a self-starter, self-reliant, analytically minded, and excellent problem-solver. They will be able to work as effectively independently or as part of a team. Candidate must be flexible and adjust to change quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will need to take directives and complete them within the time allotted or recognize and report early on that the timeframe is not adequate. Candidate will need to break large daunting tasks into smaller more manageable and achievable chunks and then coordinate the completion of those chunks. Candidate must have the ability to think big, think outside the box and develop creative solutions that meet the objectives while remaining within the company’s framework and capacity

Required:

• 7+ years previous experience in back-end, design, development, engineering, programming, or related position with a proven track record, portfolio, and sample projects
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
• Data migration, transformation, and scripting
• Setup and administration of backups
• Outputting data in different formats
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Experience building RESTful Services
• Frameworks related to their server-side language of choice like: Express.js, Ruby on Rails, CakePHP, Tornado, etc.
• Server-side development experience in PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, Node.js or .Net
• Database integration experience with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete)
• Web server technologies like Node.js, J2EE, Apache, Nginx, ISS, etc.
• Proven experience architecting web applications using JavaScript libraries and frameworks like Angular, React , Backbone, jQuery and Electron
• Experience with modern JavaScript ES6+, and TypeScript
• Experience with React and/or Angular CLI tooling
• Knowledge of web application bundling and task runner tools like Webpack, Gulp, and Yarn
• Strong working Knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as: SASS, Stylus, and LESSKnowledge and experience using Node.js and NPM.
• Experience with API design and development
• Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Knowledge of Front-end (CSS) frameworks like bootstrap.
• Experience developing SPA (Single Page Applications)
• Experience with with Git, branch management, and release management
• Proficient understanding of Security Principles and security certifications, such as: ESCP, CSSLP, GSSP-JAVA, GWEB, GSSP-NET, etc. are preferable
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with UX designer and product development staff
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and as an active member of a team
• Able to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
