Job Description

You’ll be working alongside our software development team, with a primary focus of supporting our current implementation efforts – including supporting new customer requests, as well as bug fixing.

This role will be to design, program, and test software and database components for cloud-based applications. The primary development stack for this position is on a Linux / JSP / Java / PostgreSQL platform.

We use the Agile development process, so there will be daily Scrum meetings and a bi-weekly development cycle. This position will include:

• Writing both front-end JavaScript/CSS/HTML as well as supporting back-end Java code
• Writing code per specifications and design
• Debugging and resolving technical issues
• Continually engaging in professional development

Experience and Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• 5-8 + years of experience in the development of Java applications (J2EE and Spring platforms)
• Development languages: Java, JavaScript, Linux shell scripting
• Web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSP
• Experience in web UI development – including grid and list controls, JSON, Ajax
• SQL skills with an ability to create/alter schema, do queries, joins, etc.
• Experience with MVC and REST Architectures
• Experience with test tools, such as JUnit
• Experience with Java Application Servers – JBoss Application Server, Jasper Reports, STRUTS,
• Spring Framework

Preferred

• Development languages: Kotlin, Vue
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience in the public safety industry
• Experience working remotely for extended periods of time
