Responsibilities:

• Provide front-end, back-end design, developer and technology expertise
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Make design concepts tangible
• Create production-quality code to be handed to engineers or programmers for integration into the product
• Build rapid prototyping into our user experience process by building highly responsive digital products and applications that the team can utilize for user research activities as well as stakeholder alignment – prototypes that ultimately engage and delight the end-user
• Partner with researchers, designers, developers and other stakeholders to develop and visually polish high-fidelity interfaces
• Participate in user testing to gain a better understanding of end-user needs
• Successfully present and participate in product and design discussions within cross-functional product team meetings to elicit constructive feedback
• Manage individual development priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Produce functional as well as technical documentation

Competencies:

• Skilled in general software development practices and can apply these principles effectively to a variety of environments
• Must have full-stack web application development experience using Java, Hibernate, Springboot, REST API, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Angular and related tools & technologies
• Proven technical expertise with HTML5 and CSS3 (SAAS & LESS)
• Expert knowledge of CSS transitions, SVG animations, and JavaScript and ability to discern when to use each of them
• Proven technical expertise with Front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, responsive and adaptive design
• Extensive practical experience in development with Nodes, Angular and Sigma and Web component libraries
• Proven technical expertise with Electron, MobX and React
• Knowledge of usability and accessibility best practices
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and self-motivation skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unforeseen requests
• Proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail/strategy, and creative problem-solving skills
• Experience developing code within an agile environment
• Passionate about technology
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects

Education:

• Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design or other related fields
• 3 - 5 years of development experience
