We are currently looking for a highly experienced Automation Tester to join a dynamic fast-paced team; working for a top Financial Services client of ours in Birmingham.

The successful Automation Tester will be integral to driving the implementation of new Test Automation Strategy and frameworks and will help shape and implement a new test automation framework as well as designing and executing automated tests.

The ideal Automation Tester would be both an experienced technically 'hands-on' consultant as well as having the ability to coach and mentor more junior test consultants.

Functional Knowledge

• Agile: SCRUM, Kanban
• C#
• Selenium
• Ability to design and create automation frameworks
• SQL server
• Automation of API testing
• TFS/VSTS/Azure Devops/Jira
• Exposure to a variety of Test automation tools 
• Experience of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins
• Data testing/SQL
• Awareness of testing within a cloud-based infrastructure (Azure/AWS)
• Experience of non-functional testing (Performance, Security)

General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications

• At least 3 years test automation experience
• At least 5 years proven recent experience as an IT Tester
• ISEB Foundation

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the selection of automation test tools
• Identify test scenarios, create test cases and document test results.
• Define test automation strategy
• Develop and maintain automation test frameworks within a continuous integration and delivery environment
• Write and maintain automated tests
• Estimate the testing required, reporting status and issues to line manager
• Deliver detailed test reports from the execution of automated test suites
• Document software faults and liaise with developers until the software is ready for release
• Ensure that systems meet the agreed acceptance criteria
• Ensure governance standards are upheld and changes deployed into the production environment are reflected in the regression suite
• Coach team members in test automation
