An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a dynamic DevOps Engineer with proven experience in an AWS environment. The client is rapidly expanding, based in Manchester, and has sights set on further growth.

You will be working on a Greenfield project which has just entered the development phase, and features working with new technologies. Your day-to-day role will include the following:

  • Creating, maintaining, optimising infrastructure
  • Implementing continuous integration, and deployment whilst monitoring it
  • Collaborating with the in house Cyber Security team to review any risks

You should possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience working in an AWS environment
  • Practical experience building and deploying to cloud solutions (AWS)
  • Ability with Scripting (BASH, Shell, Python, etc)
  • Proven experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes
  • Communication skills and experience working in an agile environment

The initial contract is for 12 months with potential for extension. There will be the possibility for remote work for the right candidate.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be joining a team of 20 Developers and will be working on an array of greenfield projects for their end clients. This role will require 3 days onsite and 2 days remote working.

Key responsibilities for this Senior Java Developer are:

  • Building and extending Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines and toolchains
  • Creating and enhancing software solutions catered to the business’ software needs
  • Maintaining and updating existing codebase

The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience of developing enterprise class web applications in a microservice architecture using Java (including Java 8) ideally for a software house or start-up company

  • Previous experience with Bash scripting, Java, Node.JS, Ruby or Python.
  • Experience working in an agile environment with across multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of the principles underlying public/private key encryption schemes
