Responsibilities:
  • Performs quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and software.
  • Use test automation tools and manual testing to execute test plans and identify defects prior to release.
  • Work with Customer Support to reproduce defects reported by customers.
  • Effectively use a defect tracking system.
  • Participates in medium- to large-scale projects
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions
Experience/Skills required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience with Software QA Engineering and test automation
  • Strong fundamentals in SDLC – Agile / waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong technical skills with expert scripting language / programming language experience – Java (preferred), ruby/ groovy scripting.
  • Strong domain knowledge in eCommerce and retail highly preferred
    PL/SQL experience.
  • Good understanding of object oriented programming.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated with good communication and organizational skills
  • Possess a strong ability to organize and prioritize his or her time.

Principal Engineer Software

A Software/Computer/Electrical Engineer, motivated to learn and excel in an embedded software development environment, is needed for immediate support of National Security Space programs. Software Engineers will participate in software requirements analysis and specification, test planning from unit to system level, planning and performing software qualification tests and writing test reports as part of teams developing software for both existing and in-development spacecraft programs.

In addition to developing software, candidates should be familiar with basic electrical engineering practices as they apply to integration and debugging of systems in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C/C++ programming, hands on experience with realtime operating systems (VxWorks) and be knowledgeable of embedded software development, integration and test of aerospace avionics systems. An understanding of waterfall, spiral and Agile software development processes and continuous integration using Jenkins is valuable and the ability to use open source tools to perform software rapid prototyping is also desirable.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
1. Participate in software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review and software acceptance reviews. Manages and analyzes requirements, and designs, develops and tests complex software systems.

2. Make frequent contact with customers both internal and external concerning design, development and maintenance of software Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters.

3. Act as technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal and existing program efforts. Represent the company as a customer contact on contracts or projects.

Advance your career on a project that supports an enterprise-class U.S. Federal Agency’s data warehouse. This project serves as the Central Data Repository (Warehouse) and reporting portal for the agency’s contact center.

This is a long-term full-time contract position (40 hours weekly). The average time for existing team members in this job is approximately 10 years. Requires staff to be on site and work side-by-side with the client. Must be able to commute to facility approximately 15 mins north of downtown Atlanta inside the perimeter. No work from home / remote work permitted.

Your Project:
  • Web applications are developed per client’s request.
  • Telephone data is collected daily from multiple data sources with a variety of data types. The warehouse contains approximately five terabytes of data and collects approximately 30 gigabytes of data each week. The project is currently operating at Configuration Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Level 3.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting software development and oversight within a complex enterprise environment with ASP.net that provides an accelerated, and accurate, solution delivery across multiple simultaneous active projects, in a traditional waterfall.
  • The products provided to the client are in either Microsoft Excel or HTML. The client's vision is to convert to an agile .Net environment.
  • This role requires comprehensive SDLC understanding and demonstrated successes tailoring corporate level SDLC to be in compliance with customer SDLC and ability to conform to established procedures. The team is currently functioning under Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Level 3 Responsibilities also include providing technical guidance, advising, and mentoring staff for new report development techniques and technologies such as Agile framework supported by rapid development methodologies, applying security principles, implementing new .Net APIs, and preparing and presenting reports to Government staff and to the program’s Program Manager.
