Senior Software Developer: Job Description
The Rawlings Company is looking for Senior Software Developers to be part of a long term platform development team. We are developing a new enterprise platform to enable our business to operate at a level they can only image today. The candidate will be self-sufficient working in a remote environment with the ability to creatively solve problems while being a part a team spread across the US.
If you have been a key contributor of a large scale platform redesign and have experience in retiring legacy platforms and replacing with innovative solutions, we want to talk to you. If you want to work remotely while being in a fun environment developing solutions that shape an industry, we want to talk to you. You will be a key member of a critical project team dedicated to design, document, develop and deliver new platform solutions. The team will work in an AGILE function solving complex problems with modern tools such as .Net/.Net Core, MS SQL Server, and Angular.

Responsibilities
Full Stack development including design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting of software solutions
Development of systems using primary technologies of C# .Net with Visual Studio, SQL Server, and Angular.
Comfortable in an agile team, sizing stories, planning and retrospectives
Collaborate with fellow team members, project management and business stakeholders
Collaborate with team for unit testing, continuous integration practices, code reviews/pair programming, internal tool usage, technical roadblock mitigation and process improvements
Work with internal business units to align software design
Communicates and works with SCRUM team on estimates and daily progress
Ensure delivery of stable, scalable, maintainable, and highly available software
Responsible for adhering to coding standards and approved technologies
Support agile development / SCRUM practices
Follow SDLC processes in executing software development projects.
Install PC software tools
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or closely related field, or significant equivalent experience
Experienced in building scalable, innovative enterprise platforms to consolidate and replace legacy platforms
Experience working in a remote environment
Extensive experience with a passion for design and development using Microsoft Visual Studio/C#.Net, SQL Server, and Angular or comparable technologies - 3+ years minimum
Experience in an application development Scrum team and working with end customers
Experience in healthcare IT (provider, insurer, third-party, claims processing, other healthcare) desirable but not mandatory
