Job Title: Tableau Developer Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Remote work till covid19) Hire Type: Long Term Contract
Job Description : Responsibilities:
Work with the Business Insight team to help generate critical metrics and dashboards that support ongoing reporting and measure business success using various versions of Tableau
Worked closely with Insights and business partners to determine key research needs
Administration of Tableau server including installations, upgrades, user, user groups creation and setting up security features.
Identify the factors involving the performance of the reports and coordinated in the creation of indexes, statistics to improve the query turnaround time efficiently
Involved in Installation and upgrade of Tableau server and server performance tuning for optimization.
Managed to host tasks such as website hosting, DNS, SSL Certificates and Domain Name registrations.
Install, Configure, setup Primary and Worker Nodes (drivers, patches) Disaster Recovery, Backup, cleaning logs, optimize server performance, migration of dashboards, creating schedules for extract refresh and subscriptions.
Analyze the customer issues in production, troubleshooting and providing resolution based on the issues in both technical and business perspective.
Handled Scrum implementation from user story creation to delivering a usable product.
Act as a technical expert to provide technical support and software upgrades for applications.
Work very closely with Data Architects, DBAs, SMEs and Power Users in setting up the environment that meets the needs of users.
Troubleshoot and optimize Tableau Dashboards/Workbooks, data extraction, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a tableau admin/developer
Experience with PowerBI, or PowerApps
Experience with MS Excel, MS Power Query
ability to develop, own and drive processes; complete complex analysis; successfully partner with other professionals; and have strong project management skills.
Creative approach to problem solving and task automation
Intermediate understanding of MS SQL to create data marts/reporting tables
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong documentation, data management and analysis skills.
Strong Cloud Experience with O365 using Power Apps and Power BI.
Experience with diverse data stores like NoSQL, Azure Data Warehouse, Hadoop and Relational Databases.
Prior experience migrating Tableau to PowerBI
Experience with Azure cloud services like Service Bus, Event Hub, AP Management, Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Azure Dev Ops is a plus.
Web development experience with responsive design, HTML5, JS and other web frameworks is a plus.
