Duties and responsibilities:
This position is a hybrid role (engineer and infrastructure experience). This person will work remotely (during Covid-19) but will work at Owings Mills, MD when Covid-19 lifts. The initial duration of the assignment will be 6 months, with the possibility for extension.
The team is looking for a resource to support multiple teams in a DevOps role. The resource must be familiar with cloud infrastructure engineering as well as have Java development skills.
Qualifications:
10+ years application maintenance on Windows server and Linux
10+ years hands scripting using Shell and Python
10+ years Java 1.8
3+ years Spring Frameworks/Spring Boot
2+ years RESTFul web services
2+ years application performance monitoring (APM) using New Relic and Wily
2+ years using Source code control systems such as GIT and SVN
2+ years SSL/TLS certificate management for Web Applications and Web Services
2+ years log monitoring using tools such as Splunk
2+ years Network configuration including DNS, Load Balancing.
2+ years hands on experience on AWS. This would include AWS resources configuration including IAM Policies, ELB, ECS/EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, ElastiCache, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation or VPC, ASGs
2+ years Relational databases and SQL
2+ years ECS or Kubernetes
1+ years using automation deployment tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
1+ years using Docker
Preferred
Experience using vaults.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins/GitLab Pipelines
Experience using LDAP setup
Agile Methodology
Experience with NodeJS
