The organisation has recently gone through a large-scale digital transformation and this presents an interesting opportunity to get involved in the next phase of change. They are very forward thinking in their approach with a commitment to modern tools, practices and principles, so you will get the opportunity to work on some cutting-edge stuff.

You will drive automation across a diverse Infrastructure environment and will have the chance to lead a small team with a focus on automation, reliability, and performance. It is essential that you have experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, ansible and have experience developing solutions for repetitive problems using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Coupled with this, candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge covering cloud technologies, in particular AWS. The ideal candidate will drive automation across IT systems whilst implementing, managing, and optimising the associated tools and processes in order to deliver highly scalable and resilient global services.

Key Responsibilities:
**Implement and support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems that underpin Infrastructure as Code.
**Implement and support automated, security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation across the global infrastructure estate.
**Implement solutions in line with best practices to provide highly available, scalable systems.
** Identify and implement any opportunities to be made to operating processes.
**Liaison with external teams in Infrastructure and Development.

To be considered for this position you must have experience in all/most of the following:
** In-depth knowledge of standard Dev Ops tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
** In-depth knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl, Powershell)
** Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
** Linux experience (CentOS, RHEL)
** Demonstrable Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Jenkins
** In-depth experience in Git based development using widely accepted industry standards.

This is an urgent requirement, so if this sounds interesting, please apply straight away, or call Shane Gray at Cathcart Associates for an informal chat.
