We are on the lookout for two Senior UX Designers to work for our client within Human capital on the completion of an enterprise level project. You will help support and provide provision for UX requirements and activities across an interesting project whilst also supporting any other product roadmap ideas/items where UX is at the forefront!

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all aspects of the design phase from strategic planning, research and design, on the projects you are responsible for.

  • Translating high-level requirements into simple yet effective user experiences that champions the customer and user, and drives the clients product roadmap.

  • Provide strategic direction on UX activities and briefs when necessary: making sure user insights align with business objectives.

  • Conduct research to inform design decisions. Planning and executing research projects, drawing on research from various areas of the business: analytics, customer insight, help-desk interviews, and competitor analysis, amongst others.

  • Supporting and collaborating closely with our UI designers, product owners and developers to help create and deliver intuitive and delightful user experiences.

  • Leading collaborative design workshops and usability testing sessions, amongst other research methodologies.

  • Mapping customer and user journeys and developing personas.

  • Sketching, concept creating and wireframing.

  • Creating clickable prototypes.

  • Assist in the creation of user stories to feed into a SCRUM based agile development team.

  • Communicating effectively any ideas, prototypes and final designs to internal stakeholders and peers, with the ability to take on constructive feedback.

  • Must have experience and be confident using Axure.

CPS Group UK are delighted to be seeking two Senior User Experience Designers to work with a leading organisation in Bristol, for an initial term of 6 months (extension likely). Working as part of the core design team, the UX Designers will provide provision and support for all UX requirements and activities across a number of exciting projects. The UX Designers must have a strategic mindset and understand how to align business requirements to customer and user's needs.

Candidate Specification

* 5+ years' demonstrable experience as a UX Designer
* Proficient and confident using Axure
* Working together with clients to understand detailed requirements
* Designing complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
* Using UX best practices to design solutions
* Deep understanding of responsive design
* Efficiently and intelligently iterating designs and solutions
* Communicating design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients both clearly and effectively
* Building interactive wireframes (prototypes) using Axure
* Following an iterative User-Centred Design process
* Working collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary, agile team
* Conducting research and user testing

Senior Front-end Developer required for our client for an initial 6-month contract. Please note this role is based in Greater Manchester, but offers remote working. This role also falls outside IR35.

The successful software engineer requires a strong focus on Web Front-End experience to join our client's innovative and dynamic developer team, you will contribute to the overall Software Development Life Cycle Process, predominantly from a UI/UX perspective, helping to establish and apply Architectural & Software Engineering principals that ensure products and services developed by the client are fit for purpose.

The successful applicant will be tasked with translating user-centric designs, end user requirements, user stories, service expectations and technical designs into solutions that meet the varying needs of customers.

Key skills & Experience required:

  • Strong experience working in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering high-quality products within specific timescales and working alongside architects and other senior Stakeholders
  • Extensive experience working with front end JavaScript frameworks such as React (or other commonly used libraries), CSS, etc
  • Experience keeping up to date with current industry thinking with a strong focus on Web Front-End best practices
  • Experience implementing Design System components for scalable reuse
  • Provable experience in UX Design
  • Full working understanding of Accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.x )
  • Knowledge and understanding of testing throughout the software development life cycle and using production metrics to continually improve the quality of service
  • Proven experience of working within an Agile environment using SCRUM or Kanban with effective CI/CD processes that expedite delivery
  • Personal drive to coach junior colleagues & assist the wider team within your knowledge base
  • Experience with back-end technologies (Go, Spring, Java, Node, PHP, etc)
  • Experience with database solutions (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB)
