*** This is an application developer position and most candidates are web-heavy (Angular, Knockout, JavaScript, etc.). I'm looking for experience with WinForms, console applications and Windows Services.

PROJECT: Our team supports over 20 products that are responsible for automating and streamlining processes around End User management at Health Care Company & Optum as it relates to Systems Management. Some examples are the Logon Script, Sites and Subnets, workstation inventory and application deployments and installs.

IDEAL BACKGROUND: .NET Application Developer with any experience in Systems Management.

TOP REQUIREMENTS:
a. .NET application development (Console applications, Windows Services and WinForms) – 5+ years
b. Microsoft SQL Server – 2+ years
c. WebAPI (Soap and Rest) – 3+ years


*** What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Systems Management (workstations, applications, inventory/patching) and Microsoft SQL Server experience.

LOCATION: Will start working remotely due to COVID. Ideally, the candidate would be local to the Raleigh metro that will work remote but could meet with the Manager every now and again once COVID restrictions are lifted.

As part of our development team, you'll be predominantly be involved in understanding and building business solutions by working incidents and modifying existing software applications and automation. In the future, you'll stretch your skills and grow your career as a primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications and automation consistent with the established specifications and business requirements in order to deliver business value. This is a unique development role where custom solutions are engineered end-to-end with a focus on process automation using console applications, Windows Services, WinForms, API and database integration.

Positions in this function are responsible for designing, developing and supporting enterprise level custom applications, components and processes. The candidate will operate within established methodologies and apply knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems using innovative solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Handle incidents/tickets related to current products
Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
Able to dig in and find root causes while approaching problems and concepts creatively
Focus on efficiency with the ability to track many ideas, products, databases, teams and acronyms simultaneously

Troubleshoot issues, proactively identify solutions, implement corrective actions and collect and organize issues on a tracker

Qualifications - External

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
4+ years programming experience with C# or VB.NET development
3+ years programming experience with Windows Forms applications
3+ years programming experience with Windows Services
3+ years programming experience with Console applications
4+ years experience with databases and Microsoft T-SQL including the tables, stored procedures and data models
3+ years writing or consuming web APIs (Soap or Rest)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with GitHub source code repository
Experience with Team Foundation Server source code repository
Experience with .NET enterprise applications
Experience with KanBan and/or Agile methodologies
