DISYS is seeking a mid-level C#/.NET Developer for a contract to perm opportunity to contribute to product and client project development efforts. The person in this role must have proven experience in .NET and SQL Server development and a demonstrated history of applying that knowledge to enterprise software solutions. The person in this position will be required to continually advance their knowledge and participate in the .NET professional community. This person will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with highly skilled professionals in a team environment and will be required to demonstrate a high level of self-initiative and analytical skills. This role will work with team members from different departments across the organization and requires the ability to communicate effectively with all team members.
Responsibilities
Act as a high-performing developer on .NET and SQL Server projects
Use Microsoft technologies to develop technical solutions
Consume Functional and Technical Design Documents to implement software solutions
Implement comprehensive technical solutions in a collaborative team environment
Analyze and understand interfaces and dependencies between technical components
Perform standard release-based development under planned deadlines as well as investigate and resolve priority Production issues
Follow guidance from senior team members regarding industry best practices, optimal coding techniques and emerging technologies
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills
Ability to design and develop application functionality using Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET technologies to accomplish project objectives
Experience in translating business logic and requirements into technical designs and solutions
Willingness to adhere to all coding standards as set forth by the Application Architects
Effective research, diagnosis and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivator with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision
Ability to establish effective working relationships at all organizational levels and across functional teams
Ability be effective in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change frequently
Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline OR certificate from an accredited technical school/program in a related discipline or equivalent experience
5 years of hands-on .NET development experience with C# (VB.NET is a plus)
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (Azure-DevOps is a plus)
Experience with database design concepts
Experience with application development tools including Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio and Team Foundation Server
Experience with iOS, Android, Microsoft Azure and AngularJS is a plus
Experience working under an Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus
Experience developing reports for end-user consumption is a plus
