Power Line Reporting is a small company dedicated to crafting custom integration solutions for electric utilities. Our company was founded in 2017 as an offshoot from a consulting engineering firm, but the solutions including code base and back end infrastructure were developed over the past 7 years.

After developing stable and scale-able solutions for a couple clients, we are gearing up to start marketing our tools more widely in the industry. We have a number of upcoming projects and opportunities, but are running thin on the resources needed to ensure our clients receive high quality and well supported solutions.

Power Line Reporting is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual who wants an opportunity to help grow with a company from the ground floor. This will initially be a part time position but the goal will be to transition into a full time, well compensated role. If, however, you're looking for an opportunity for long term growth, personal development, and the creative freedom to explore new technologies then let's talk!

This role will encompass all aspects of the Microsoft desktop development stack with a big focus on C#, WPF and Microsoft Azure Services. Most of our products are 'factory' type applications which convert and manipulate data from one format to another. We also have a couple database apps built on SQL databases. We have a number of immediate development opportunities to extend existing applications and build out new applications. Along with developement, we're also improving our backend infrastructure with a couple Azure projects (Migrating an externally hosted service into Azure). There are also opportunities to explore non-technical areas such as service contracts, certifications, and other business related tasks.

$15 - $18/hourRemoteSierra Interactive

We are looking for an experienced, independent full stack developer with expertise in C#.NET / SQL Server to join our team for a full-time, long-term project at 30-40 hours per week.

Sierra Interactive is U.S.-based company that provides real estate websites and property search tools to clients across the U.S. and Canada. We have developed a custom platform to provide customer-facing real estate websites on behalf of clients, and also an admin portal which gives clients access to our custom content management system (CMS) and customer relationship management platform (CRM).

In collaboration with a product manager and senior programmers, you will work on high level tasks related to both client website development and maintenance. We have an extensive and exciting feature road map in front of us, and we are looking for an experienced, professional developer to help us make it all happen.

Your responsibilities will include the addition of new features and enhancements to our custom framework, updates to client site architecture, extending functionality to our back end admin area, maintenance, and other related tasks.

Technical Specification: The administration area is implemented in .NET framework 4.7.2 / C# language with SQL Server 2019 as back end. We also work extensively with the Microsoft Azure platform, including VMs, Cloud Service, Functions, CDN, Azure-hosted SQL Server DBs and more.

A minimum of 5 years full-time experience working with C# .Net and SQL Server is required for this role. Experience with Azure is helpful but not required.

We are using git as our version-control system, and, since you would be expected to work with other developer(s) on the project, it would be good to have experience in using version-control in general and git in particular. Experience with RETS and libRETS is very helpful but not required.

You will be working as part of a team of 15+ developers with 3 supervisors, but you will work independently on this part of the project (with guidance and initial training provided as needed).

This is a great opportunity to join an established, high-functioning team for a full-time, long-term position. (Current members of the development team have been with us for an average of more than 5 years.)
