BI Developer - Azure (Banking)

Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires experienced BI Developers (Azure), to join their team in their clients' office in London

This is 12 months temporary contract, to start ASAP. You can work remotely while Covid abates

The right candidates will be reporting to the Engagement Lead and will be responsible for provide development & support for Azure BI solutions using full Azure BI Stack and associated software and hardware technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As DevOps Team Developer/Support Analyst you will be expected to apply a range of techniques in the development, delivery and on-going management of BI analytics services and solutions that solve complex business issues though predictive analytics and machine learning, advanced visualisation, data warehousing, big data and business intelligence
  • Provide development & support for Azure BI solutions using full Azure BI Stack and associated software and hardware technologies

Key Skills/Knowledge:

  • At least 5+ years' experience working as BI Developer
  • 3+ years' experience in PowerBI developments using Azure BI Solutions, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, SQL DB, Tabular Data Analysis, Power Apps, Azure Data Factory Services
  • 2+ Years working in DevOps environments
  • Deep BI experience
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server database development, Data Warehousing, Datamodelling, relational and non-relational database models
  • Experience with Azure SQL Services
  • Microsoft ETL or data integration tools
  • Expert skills with Azure, Data Analytics
  • Experience on Predictive Analysis and Stream Analytics
  • Azure Data Platform
  • SSIS/SSRS/SSAS, T-SQL, Power BI
  • Developing data pipelines using ETL and DWH/data marts
  • DAX calculations and SSAS cubes, plus MDX expressions
  • Dimensional Datamodelling for DWH, data marts, logical and physical database design
  • Data cleansing routines
  • Microsoft Certifications - good to have
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Self-starting and self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Confident with good interpersonal & communicational skills
  • Must be a team player
