Experience in an enterprise environment including an understanding of traditional processes and procedures and how they may impact a digital transformation.

Experience in leading the definition of Digital architecture and road-maps across a large business unit, particularly the elements related to customer engagement - marketing, sales, and the related analytics used by the sales force and omni-channel customer engagement

Experience with MS Dynamics CRM for Salesforce enablement (this is a key platform but is only one of the tools within scope of this role)

Strong knowledge Identity and Access Management, Knowledge of client-side applications and micro-services architecture.

Knowledge of analytics platforms and cloud transformations, particularly related to Google Cloud Platform, and the implementation of data lake and streaming analytics capabilities

Knowledge of machine learning and the implementation opportunities and challenges for building ML enabled analytics and recommended solutions

Experience in agile development and architecture practices

Platform / DevOps Engineer - London - 6 month contract

The role

As Platform / DevOps Engineer you will support all levels of our client's environments', ensuring availability, stability and security whilst also facilitating data requirements. You'll play a key role defining monitoring frameworks and ensuring implementation across the entire infrastructure as well as helping with the integration of external applications and dependencies. Crucially you will provide analysis of current capacity and future growth to deliver to our client's overall infrastructure capacity planning.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Configure a CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins for a data and analytics delivery (Talend, Cloudera, Tableau)
  • Provision AWS Infrastructure components (VPC, ELB, Subnet) using Cloudformation
  • Tableau application performance monitor configuration and integration of Apache Impala
  • Deploy Cloudera clusters within an AWS environment
  • Use Splunk and Data Dog for monitoring and application logging
  • Kerberos integration with IPA and MDS for Cloudera and Tableau
  • Automate AWS services and resources using Chef

Experience Required

  • Experience building and deploying solutions to AWS
  • Clustering and load balancing (Hadoop Cloudera)
  • Worked with CI/CD in a scaled Agile environment
  • Experience of Talend orchestration
  • Experience of developing enterprise grade ETL/data pipelines with tools like Informatica and Talend
  • Experience using development and deployment technologies, for instance virtualisation and management (Tableau), continuous integration tools (Jenkins)
  • Ability to collaborate with development teams
