UAT Tester (Level 2)
Location: Reston, VA
Description:
The client is seeking an UAT Tester II to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
Develop testing automation programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Create or maintain databases of known test defects
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Education/Experience:
Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
5+ years of software testing experience required
Expertise with Cucumber, Selenium, Automation frameworks
Experience in writing test cases, creating test scenarios, executing tests scripts and analyzing test results – test strategy and execution
Expertise with system testing, Integration testing, Functional testing, Backend testing and regression testing and User acceptance testing with different testing tools
Hands on experience in the Analysis, design, development, testing and Implementation of Solutions using Data Warehouse/Data Mart Design, ETL
Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
Good communication, analytical and logical reasoning skills
Good to have:
Knowledge about AWS services – Redshift, RDS, EC2, S3, EMR
Notes:
Required Skills:
Developing automation scripts (Tools- Selenium/Cucumber)
Python / Java ( for automating test scripts)
Expertise with SQL/RDBMS (For analyzing the changes in data)
Nice to have:
Prior client experience(Huge plus)
AWS(Exposure is good to have)
Education Requirement:
Bachelors /Associates degree in Technology
Methodology used:
They are moving data from legacy DW to new system onto AWS. JIRA and Agile is being used in the team.
Typical day-to-day look like:
The candidate would be responsible for creating test plans and test case scenarios , test system modification using Selenium/Cucumber , develop test automation , Analyze changes in data.
