Job Summary
ROLE: QA AUTOMATION TESTER
LOCATION: RESTON,VA
DURATION: VERY LONG TERM
VISA: ANY EXPECT CPT
MODE OF INTERVIEW: PHONE AND F2F
Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for various applications based on business requirements
  • Must be familiar with API test automation with tools such as Postman
  • Perform test automation using tools like Selenium
  • Perform functional testing on various business components, modules and functionalities
  • Perform other testing aspects such as system testing, regression testing, integration testing
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
  • Review and analyze user requirements documents in tools such as Confluence to ensure that requirements are testable
  • Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups
  • Document the entire quality assurance testing process in test management tools such as Adaptivist, Jira and communicate the test results to the team constantly
  • Work with other functional Testers and non-functional testers and collaborate with project manager, developers, business analysts and representatives from business units throughout the testing process
  • Participate in the user stories review meeting, project sync up meeting and other meetings as required

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience with Docker and micro services is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 4+ years of Software Testing experience with strong background and proven expertise in functional testing
  • Experience working with tools such as Confluence and test management tools such as Adaptivist
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be attentive to detail, highly-organized, and able to multi-task
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), quality assurance life cycle and testing methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment
  • Experience in the health care domain is a plus
