Job Summary ROLE: QA AUTOMATION TESTER LOCATION: RESTON,VA DURATION: VERY LONG TERM VISA: ANY EXPECT CPT MODE OF INTERVIEW: PHONE AND F2F Job duties and responsibilities:
Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for various applications based on business requirements
Must be familiar with API test automation with tools such as Postman
Perform test automation using tools like Selenium
Perform functional testing on various business components, modules and functionalities
Perform other testing aspects such as system testing, regression testing, integration testing
Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
Review and analyze user requirements documents in tools such as Confluence to ensure that requirements are testable
Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups
Document the entire quality assurance testing process in test management tools such as Adaptivist, Jira and communicate the test results to the team constantly
Work with other functional Testers and non-functional testers and collaborate with project manager, developers, business analysts and representatives from business units throughout the testing process
Participate in the user stories review meeting, project sync up meeting and other meetings as required
Required Skills:
Prior experience with Docker and micro services is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
4+ years of Software Testing experience with strong background and proven expertise in functional testing
Experience working with tools such as Confluence and test management tools such as Adaptivist
Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
Excellent communication skills. Must be attentive to detail, highly-organized, and able to multi-task
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), quality assurance life cycle and testing methodologies
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment
Experience in the health care domain is a plus
