We are seeking a full-stack software engineer to help us prototype and launch innovative new products centered around helping people with their financing, insurance, and maintenance vehicle needs.

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for entire projects, from working with a Product Manager and a UX Designer on the problem being solved, possible solutions, the UI design, implementation, and analytics. You should possess a mix of technical strength, business strength and good product ideas.
  • Define technical requirements and systems architecture with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact.
  • Implement best practice coding methodologies and tools throughout the organization.
  • Constantly evaluate technological advancements and innovative solutions to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Ensure fast scalability of the tools to support and even nourish our growth.
  • Architect and implement complex programming solutions using modern development frameworks
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs as necessary and improve usability
  • Drive for high-quality execution, technical and operational excellence

About you:
You're a passionate software developer who equally enjoys writing excellent code, leading and growing a team, and architecting robust, maintainable systems. Perhaps you're stronger in one area than another—that's OK. There are many paths to success in this role.

BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent). Experience and proficiency in both back end and front end programming.

5+ years of experience with full-stack application development

Languages: Javascript, Python, PHP, HTML, CSS

Server: Amazon EC2, Ngnix, Apache

Database: BigQuery, MySQL

Caching: Redis, Varnish, Cloudflare

Adstack: Google Ad Manager (GAM/DFP), Prebid.js

Deployments: AWS OpsWorks with Chef

Version control: GitHub

Quality focused; Familiar with Agile and SDLC methodologies. Experience with the implementation of unit tests and integration tests. Knowledge of data flows and distributed architecture

Ability to step up into a leadership role in a small company, and inspire the development team. Proven experience delivering clean code, maintaining design, user experience strategy-goals and brand requirements throughout the development process
