Experienced contract front-end developer required to join a small front-end team on a major green field web application development for an initial three-month engagement.
The role requires working remotely with a small front-end (developer and QA) team to create a major new web platform for the company. The role will require level of mentoring for the existing team.
The platform features a brand new React based front-end communicating with our internal services using a GraphQL API currently being developed by our back-end teams. Communication and collaborative working in an Agile environment are a must for this role.
We are investing significantly in CI/CD practices with this project, so a good understanding of test automation - both at a unit and end to end level - would be a significant benefit.
Work on the front-end has recently commenced, so this is a chance to shape the solution at the earliest stage.

* React frame work
* React Route v5/v6

* Unit testing with react-testing-library
* Styled components
* Knowledge/experience of end to end testing using Cypress
* Knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose advantageous but not required
* GraphQL knowledge/experience advantageous but not required
* Ability to work as part of a distributed, fully remote, team
* Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members
