Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking an Application Developer (Microservices). They will have 1-2 round interviews depending on candidate. This is fully remote. This is a 5-month contract with possibility to extend.
Strong programming skills in Java, Data structures and algorithms, Web services, REST APIs, JSON, XML, etc.
Hands-on development expertise on Java 11, hands-on development expertise with Spring Boot
Quarkus preferred
Cloud-Native development experience using 12-factor principles
Experience in leading a team utilizing skills in Microservices, Java, Quarkus, Tekton, Test Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming
Building Restful web services
Using a testing framework (JUnit)
Developing API specs using SwaggerHub
Strong skills in testing API using POSTMAN and other relevant tools
Prior experience in leading code reviews
Expertise with version control (GIT) and dependency management tools (Maven, Gradle)
Deployment experience using Red hat OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes
Strong knowledge and experience in RDBMS concepts and databases like MySQL, etc. and NoSQL concepts and databases
Knowledge of Kafka, Amazon MSK/Kafka Streams
