Job: Data Engineer/ Data Analyst
Location: London - SW
Day rate: £400 - £500
Contract: 6 Months +
The role:
Our leading client is looking for a data engineer or data analyst to extract data from various machine data sources, transform, load into a data-store and then to prepare for presentation in a front-end.
The client is making a risk platform from the ground up in an agile / sprint environment. Security operations background desirable
***2 days remote working available***
Role requirements:
- Writing Python scripts to load data from various existing systems and platforms
- Analysing the data to extract the signal from the noise
- Identifying useful and meaningful insights from the data
- Writing SQL queries to extract data into a format that can be consumed by the data presentation layer
- Running data ingestion, following data from source to result to confirm accuracy and usability
Essentials:
- SQL, Python + Python data modelling libraries such as Pandas, generating graphs and displaying data within Jupyter Notebook
- Expert in data analysis and transforming raw data into meaningful business information
- Information security data analytics - SOC, interpreting machine log data
- Google Cloud - Google Big Query
- Install, build configure Linux environment for development
