Weare seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to join our growing team. The Sr.Data Scientist will work remotely and provide key collaboration from a semanticanalysis perspective. Our work is focused on automated dataproducts.

Responsibilities:

• Build and validate computational models and algorithms related to new retail data sets
• Provide creative and useful analysis for our customers. Find data that is predictive in their businesses.
• Understand what moves the needle for our customers and explore data that could be helpful. Must be able to do this without much direction.
• Find, source, and store unique data sets that may be useful for analysis (e.g. go get Google Analytics data and add it to your model)
• Explore and implement advanced technological solutions such as machine learning.
• Coordinate deliverables with data analysts who will contribute to the team effort

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative science, such as: Math, Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics
• 7+ years of experience
• Experience with natural language processing
• Experience with machine learning
• Take pride in effective written and verbal communication
• A passion for explaining data science concepts concisely to non-data scientists
• Sharp critical thinking skills, including systems analysis, problem analysis and resolution, and sound judgment/decision making ability
• Strong abilities with R and Hadoop, and Linux
• Experience with AWS and Google Cloud platforms (specifically EMR, Kinesis, RedShift).
• Demonstrated ability to architect the structure of very large data sets.
• Familiarity with pulling data from (or migrating from) Oracle and MongoDB for analysis.
