Full Job Description
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer to evaluate, test and validate software and IT services for a remote position.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years of quality assurance experience with cloud or web-based applications; ideally with some experience as a Senior QA or QA Lead,
At least 5 years of experience testing reporting environment and its output.
At least 6 years of experience in Data Quality Analysis and testing.
At least 6 years of experience in testing with projects involving ETL Implementations.
Proven experience and full command of QA procedures and methods, and Agile / SDLC
An understanding of automated testing, including how to write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle. Experience with version management and ticketing systems such as Git, SVN and Jira.
Experience with RDBMS and SQL.
Able and willing to work in a team environment and adopt a culture of ownership and initiative and promote such within the team.
Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face).
SCOPE OF SERVICE:
Responsible for designing and executing end-to-end testing of key technology platforms.
Communicate with cross-functional teams, including development, product support, training, product team, and system engineers to deliver Use Cases of testing business solutions.
Experienced in working with various QA tools to develop and execute overall software test strategy for product release.
Define process for implementation of software test automation to reduce operational costs through service optimizations and demand-based auto-testing
Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per industry standards applicable for the organization.
Pair with technical and functional teams to maintain continuity of integration environments that support high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.
Work with various business teams to understand requirements and other performance SLAs
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production instances.
Provides oversight and technical guidance to the QA team in the analysis, design, testing, and deployment of all applications.
Plays a critical role in timely deliverables of quality product.
