As a Senior AWS Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing Agiledevelopment team focused on problem solving, development sprints, andinnovative product development. You will work with and support otherdevelopers, applying training in information technology and computerprogramming to the design, modification, and maintenance of applicationsprograms.
Responsibilities
? Becomean expert at developing services in various AWS cloud services
? Participatein building Clients core AWS services
? Helpenable teams across client to build against clients AWS platform
? Participatefully as a member of a Scrum development team
? Demonstratethe ability to independently problem solve and research solutions
? Independentlycomplete complex coding tasks as part of two-week sprint cycles
? Providecareful code reviews
? Followcode standards and adhere to the established development process
? Contributeto the development of cross-team, framework-level projects with input fromsenior developers
? Participatein design sessions with focus on suggesting solutions
? Understandthe business domain, data model, and design of the code base for the clientproduct
? Participatein discussions around sprint and backlog prioritization from a technicalperspective
? Continuallydeepen your knowledge of the technologies (languages, frameworks, etc.) used byclient
? Continuallydeepen your knowledge of the craft of coding and design
? Communicateand collaborate with your team with a concentration on learning how tofacilitate collaboration
? Bea great teammate – carry your load, help other team mates, be flexible andadapt easily to changing product needs based on customers and the market
Qualifications
Required:
? Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science or a related field with 4 years’ experience orcombination experience, experience, & superior performance
? 2 years’ of experience developing cloud based software on AWS
? Understandingof OOP concepts and proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java, C#, C , TypeScript, Python
? Experienceworking with these WS services: S3, ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and SNS
? Experiencewith micro service architecture
? Experiencewith serverless application development
? Abilityto mentor and help other software developers be successful
? Experienceparticipating in architectural planning and design of complex cloud basedsystems
Desired:
? AWSCertified, for example AWS Certified Developer
? Experienceworking with ECS, DynamoDB, Aurora, AWS CDK, Glue, Athena, Cloudwatch, and EC2within AWS or similar services in other cloud providers
? Agilesoftware development experience
? Experiencecontributing to open source software projects
? Abilityto communicate and collaborate with others in a professional and respectfulmanner
? Excellentverbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technicalaudiences
