Job Description :
Our client is searching for a fully remote UX Design Research Engineer. This is a contract opportunity with potential to hire - this role will move onsite to West Chester, PA if moved to hire.
The UX Design Research engineer will be part of a team of researchers who will be assigned to various functions including: quantitative research and data analytics, journey analysis, heuristic reviews, usability studies and surveys. The core of their job function will rely on advanced skills in behavioral analysis research techniques with a working knowledge of data science.
Functions and Duties Include:
Conduct ended to end customer observational research campaign, category and product based shopping scenarios, customer pilots, Session Replay review, usability tests with customers using live features and prototypes
Utilize 3rd Party data sources Monetate and Qualtrics
Provide customer research share outs to Product Teams
Provide Continuous analysis and audits on all platforms Apps and Website and monitor dashboards
Collaborates closely with the UX / Design team by establishing the leanest method to validate assumptions. These methods may include; but are not limited to, validation through rapid prototyping and A/B testing. This function includes coordinating the research, conducting experiments and communicating results for the strategic recommendations
Applies VOC & Behavior Data Analysis based on input from Adv. Analytics
Required Experience:
Demonstrated success designing, launching and analyzing customer-centered studies
Demonstrated success in analyzing and communicating 3rd party research.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills; including influencing globally located teams
Risk-oriented
Able to establish credibility quickly in order to effectively interface at all levels in a complex organization
A strong personal style that will enable him/her to persuade and motivate others to accomplish corporate goals
Skilled in leading research teams.
Skilled in communicating the user experience.
Should be a hands-on leader with a “can do” attitude who can work effectively in developing digital media and online plans and strategies.
The ability to make strategic focused decisions with limited and/or ambiguous information
Qualifications:
5+ years’ in User Experience Research and Data Analysis using qualitative tools such as Google Analytics, Session Cam, Contentsquare, Coremetrics or similar.
Extensive experience in advocating for the observed customer experience and bringing the customer to the forefront of design solutions
Design Research and/or Interactive agency experience preferred
Candidates must be able to show proven experience and understanding current and emerging methods for design research and the externalization of consumer patterns
Experience in media or retail industry preferred
Relationships within technology and digital media industry
Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a multi-function and globally based organization
Extensive experience in design thinking methods and the design of experiments
