SQL Developer/DBA

Currently, Vision Technology is seeking a SQL DBA / Developerto join our team and work directly on client projects.In this role, you will assist with the development of SQL procedures, triggers, views, functions, and reports to support enhancement to critical SQL based business systems. You will create ad-hoc reports using SQL and other scripting languages per customer requirements from the database. In addition to other duties, you will also work with SQL query optimization, index management, system performance, optimization tuning and perform STIGing and fix the findings on the DB servers.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field of studies and/or greater than four (4) years equivalent experience above the experience requirement identified below.
• 7 + years working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, or newer versions

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience with SOA solutions for large, complex automated information systems projects
• Assisting with the DoD certification and accreditation information assurance following the DIACAP and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
• DOD or other Federal Government exposure
• Knowledge of how the military health system deploys and maintains IM or IT to their MTFs and their military health IT systems
• Familiarity with: Data Integration with external sources using Web Services/SFTP, Managing Virtual Server Environments with SAN’s (VMWare, XenServer), direct Extensible Markup Language (XML) data transfer, DMIS ID, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED
• Experience in MHS systems such as AHLTA, CHCS, HAIMS, or Essentris
• Experience developing and maintaining system documentation including requirements and design documents.
• Support creating and updating other project documentation such as Requirement Traceability Matrix, Agile Management Plan, Configuration Management (CM) Compliance Plan, Software Implementation Plan, Development Integration Test (DIT) Environment Plan, Solutions Design Documents (SDDs), Contingency Operations Plan, and other project documentation
• Security +, Industry Related certification (e.g. .NET, SQL Server)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 /year
