It also reduces worksite hazards to improve worker safety!
We are looking for a JVM Engineer to join one of the world’s leading manufacturers of construction and mining equipment. They're investing over $400 million USD to build a world class IoT platform to host a wide range of applications. Your performance review will take place after 6 months, allowing you to apply for conversion and be eligible for great benefits! Many have stepped into architect or management positions at this point. Several dedicated engineers are needed to grow the team so you will hold all the leverage at 6 months! The ideal candidate will have a Java background, a solid understanding of the fundamentals to build microservices and APIs in AWS environments. You will act as an engineering generalist to help with serverless deployment in AWS environments, functional programming, and streaming technologies (they will teach these skills if you don't have them).
Required Skills & Experience
Four-year degree from an accredited college or university. Three years or more of software development experience. Designing, developing, and deploying and maintaining software at scale Developing Microservices and RESTful APIs Experience with distributed databases
Desired Skills & Experience
Hands-on CI/CD expertise. Capability to learn with little ramp-up time. Training will be provided if necessary. Mentor and assist software engineers. Identifies and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
