About MD Ally
MD Ally is helping 9-1-1 centers and EMS agencies save lives, by helping navigate low-acuity patients to telemedicine services. Our technology allows dispatchers and paramedics in the field to connect patients directly with a telemedicine provider, reducing strain on EMS systems and hospitals, and giving patients a cost-effective, fast solution for their non-emergent medical issues.
We’re a well-funded startup that’s participated in both Techstars and Hearst Labs accelerator programs and completed a successful pilot program last year in Kansas.
We’re preparing to launch in multiple large systems in the upcoming months, and want a skilled and passionate developer/manager to lead our team through this exciting next phase.
The Position
As the lead developer, you’ll be responsible for working directly with our product owner and the C-suite to manage development goals and milestones, and manage a remote team of developers. (Our team is made up of full-time, contract, and outsourced development resources). Right now, this role is 75% development and operations, and 25% management. The ideal candidate will be excited to see that distribution reverse over time, and is particularly passionate about managing, supporting, and mentoring developers in a quickly growing engineering team.
Basic Requirements
5+ years of experience in Rails, JavaScript, Postgres, Docker, and AWS (ECS, RDS)
3+ years as a lead developer or in a management role
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience with multiple API integrations
An absolute commitment to test driven development
Nice to Have (or Need to Learn)
