Job Description

Responsible for supporting various aspects of existing templates in DOC1document composition platform, such as change to logic, troubleshooting, program documentation and release for computer operations. Review previously setup templates, VB and FoxPro code and collaborate with other developers on composition convergence project. Works with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Customer Service teams to convert existing DOC1 setup to Quadient. Support Data Processing department and help troubleshoot when issues reported. Must be able to think quickly and resolve issues as they arise.

Hours

This is a Full-time contract position requiring approximately 40+ hours per week with occasional weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working  on  various  aspects  of  Doc1 Designer:   Publications, Documents, Active  contents,  Transaction  Tables,  Data  formats,  Document Library, Doc1 gen batch processing, output configuration, Journals etc.
  • Participate in team efforts to convert setups from existing OpenText/Doc1 platforms to Quadient Inspire
  • Make programming changes, test and troubleshoot workflows
  • Knowledge of VB and/or Foxpro 
  • Assist with data file analysis and help PM in customer’s onboarding process
  • Familiarity with at least one of the languages: Java, C#, Power Shell
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, stored procedures and functions
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing process and ways to standardize data processing
  • Assist in resolving inquiries related to input/output and intended data usage
  • Follows established department and companywide guidelines for implementation, testing and deployment
  • Contribute to the upkeep and consistency of internal documentation related to issues, resolutions, usage topics, and training
  • Other duties may be assigned after successful integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Print and mailing industry experience preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience using Doc1
  • Development experience with multiple document composition tools such as Quadient Inspire (former GMC) or OpenText(Exstream) and or composition is a bonus
  • Working knowledge of Windows PowerShell
  • Strong attention to detail and QC principles
  • Understanding of Data Integrity, Security
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming Java or  C#
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Experience using a wide range of data structures including xml
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of three years of experience in related field
