As a Data Engineer, you will be helping with a Digital Transformation project, in setting up a Google Big Query data warehouse.
THE COMPANY:
This company specialise in the travel industry and are looking to bounce back after being affected by COVID-19. They would like to have a new platform that will allow them to give real-time updates to their customers so are going through a digital transformation. They are looking to establish a Google Cloud Platform and have their reporting ready for the launch of this. They need a Data Engineer who can build robust ETL pipelines to ingest data for the BI Analysts.
THE ROLE:
As a Data Engineer, you will be building the Big Query data warehouse, using Airflow for Orchestration. You will be building ETL pipelines in Python and querying data sets using SQL. You will be building a reporting layer for BI Analysts to visualise their findings using Tableau or PowerBI. You will also be connecting to the front end so will need an understanding of Javascript and Google Analytics.
