Work location: 1/2 time in Reston, 1/2 time from unclassified(remote) location

Clearance Required: TS-SCI w/ CI Poly clearance.

General Description:

We are starting a new contract that assists the customer in 2 phases. The first phase is to rescue a dead application, revive it in it's current state and get it working. The second phase is to replace the solution to the cloud as a web enabled application. In it's current state, we're looking at a Visual Basic application that uses Python to transform the data and store it in Access as a fat-client solution. We need to migrate that solution to a more traditional web hosted application and migrate it to the cloud. The project produces analytic output based on the processed data.

Ideally we are seeking 2 individuals to work with the project technical leadership. In a perfect setting, we'd have one person stronger on the web development side and the other stronger on the data management/ETL side working together with the technical lead.

Mandatory Skills:

• Java development experience {end-to-end, including server side and client side}
• Data ETL experience
• AWS Cloud infrastructure knowledge
• Legacy technology knowledge with Microsoft
• SQL
• Willingness to decompose legacy technologies and learn new technologies to solve the problem
• Works well in a team and can function independently

Desired Skills:

• Python
• Web development experience
  • Familiarity with various Javascript libraries {Angular, React, Vue.js etc}
• Devops experience
