***100% REMOTE***

Qualified applicants will be based in the Raleigh, North Carolina area to support customers on the East Coast and EU regions. You must have a home office with strong internet connection for video conferencing.


Our client is seeking a professional and collaborative Software Support Technician to join their team in a fully remote role. 

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Software Support Technician:
  • Analyze customer IT problems; perform diagnostics to identify, isolate, and resolve root causes of problems
  • Utilize proprietary software to create virtual installation products for cloud-based deployment for customers
  • Interact with customers over email, phone, or video conferencing to provide technical support for company products
  • Escalate or work in tandem with support specialists or dev teams on unresolved reported issues
  • Prioritize incidents and complaints to assure all SLAs are met
  • Write scripts to help with troubleshooting and testing
  • Requirements of the Software Support Technician:
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred
  • At least 5 years of technical support experience in the software industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 2016/2019 for software configuration
  • Extensive IT troubleshooting skills and Microsoft software troubleshooting skills
  • Basic development skills related to creating scripts: PowerShell, VBScript
  • General understanding/experience in networking: IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
  • A+, Network+ and/or Microsoft Certified - MCP is a plus
