Our client, an exciting new innovative IT Consultancy, is looking to expand its fun and friendly team. There is a great opportunity for an experienced PowerBI Developer to join them. This is a full time contract post; the contract will start immediately and run until March 2021 with the possibility of it being extended. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, dynamic and collaborative person who will maintain and develop MI Reports in PowerBI. They will also investigate the solutions on new reports to be incorporated into the Power BI reporting suite, cleansing backend data, developing logics and leveraging the latest tools/practices to help improve the efficiency of Power BI in the organisation. Using your collaborative approach, you'll use creativity and bring new ideas and initiatives to the team to keep up with the rapidly changing data landscape. You’ll work closely alongside the Head of Reporting and MI to manage stakeholder requests and help ensure new solutions and reports built for the organisation will drive the maximum amount of benefit. The candidate will be comfortable and have experience of working in a fast paced environment and be familiar working with Agile methodologies. Responsibilities * Manage the design, build, publication Power BI reports/dashboards for a range of different audiences * Find creative solutions to problems and means of improvement * Responsible for the improvement and maintenance of Power BI reports * Able to take complex data points and tell an insightful story through a set of visualizations using Power BI * Monitoring lessons learned with a continuous improvement approach Skills and Qualifications * Expert in Power BI report / dashboard development * Certifications in Power BI desirable * Experience of integrating PowerBI with a variety of 3rd party systems * Experience in ingesting many data sets in different formats e.g. CSV * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements and provide end-user training * Utilise DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and other SQL languages * Knowledge of Data Warehouses, ETL and other BI Platforms * Corporate performance and management reporting experience with a focus on data quality and improvements * Experienced in both Agile and Waterfall * Experienced at building strong relationships with senior-level clients/customers and stakeholders to facilitate successfully project/program delivery * Experience of working with data from PRISM, P6, CEMAR, Xactium desirable * Experience working within a consultancy is desirable ***Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions our client has put in place a great on boarding plan for new employees who will for now work remotely from home.
