Machine Learning Engineer (Remote)

FINCON is recruiting for a text processing and machine learning project. Positions are dependent on the award of the contract.

The scope of the assignment is to demonstrate the use of Machine Learning-based text processing to extract data from electronic files available in PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, gif, bmp, html, MS Word and MS Excel, transform it in a relational database . The data is also to be Loaded in an Open source database server (MongoDB) based on the Open Contracting Data Standards. The information available in the files are generally in a standard template. The files will contain tables, paragraphs, single lines, numbers, dates, handwritten statements, signatures. Mostly the information in files is typed. Some of the scanned files are not good quality and may require more efforts for data extraction.
The work also includes linking all the available information in files for all stages in a relational database with a unique key for each procurement activity, capturing data from procurement planning till the contract award.

We require:

1. Data scientist with at least 3 years of experience working on similar text processing projects via Machine Learning

2. Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience managing at least 2 similar assignments

3. Data Engineer with at least 3 years of experience of working in ETL based assignments

4. System Analyst with at least 5 years of experience working on at least 2 similar assignments

Please note that the position will require travel overseas (2 weeks to 1 month) during project start up.
