Technical Project Manager - Built Environment - Relocation PM
PTS Consulting is recruiting for a skilled Technical Project Manager with experience in construction programmes, built environment and physical infrastructure. This role will include design, execution and completion of a work stream with a project as well as project initiation, progress, scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality management. Experience and understanding of IT Physical Infrastructure, including structured cabling design and IT room space planning, is essential to this role.
Due to the client facing aspect of this position, strong communication skills both verbally and in writing are essential for this role. PTS Consulting is a global organisation; therefore there will be times when travel to other PTS locations will be required.
Responsibilities
- Technology interface into construction projects and programmes
- Represent the technology stakeholders within the construction Design Team
- Manage activity and resources on project plans & schedules to measure how PTS Consulting is meeting deliverable requirements (specification, time, cost and quality)
- Manage project risk, issue and change control
- Document and report Client needs, project status, exceptions and resolutions
Skills
- Certified practitioner in the BE environment either Project Manager external qualification or technical qualification I.e BICSI
- A sound knowledge and understanding of the RIBA plan of work and understanding of the roles of a typical Construction Professional Team
- Built Environment domain specific knowledge, such as; BIM, building systems
- Knowledge and practice of Construction Project Management methods and techniques (such as Primavera P2 and Microsoft Project 2010)
- Knowledge of project management methods (such as MSP, Prince2, PMBoK, Agile DSDM, Kanban and Scrum)
- Knowledge and experience of Construction Management companies, Architects and other professional companies supporting the Built Environment industry
- Understanding of the typical technical work streams, such as; Physical Infrastructure, Physical Security, Networks, Audio Visual, Enterprise Systems and the interfaces to other members of the Construction Professional Team
