Job Description: iOS Principal Architect

Responsibilities

The Principal Architect will work closely with cross-functional product delivery teams to architect technical components. In this role, you will provide guidance for the ideation, architecting and designing a mobile system. This role also needs a command for evangelizing various new ideas among the team, implementing and making a consistent practice.
This role responsibilities will also include setting up session like group trainings on a regular basis (Every two weeks or so). Topics may be based on the feedback from production, NFRs, observations, etc.

Qualifications:

This Principal Architect should be experienced with Web & iOS technologies or working on mobile back-end development. They should also have experience working as a part of a global development team.

• Excellent understanding of iOS development practices

• Strong development experience in iOS technology (Swift, XCode, ObjectiveC) and preferably Java, SQLite, NoSQL

• Experience in integrating Third Party Libraries into the application using Cocoapods

• Preferable experience in test-driven development strategies like TDD using XCUnit testing and BDD using tools like Quick & Nimble

• Should be familiar with iOS design patterns like Delegation, MVC, MVVM, and Singleton

• Good understanding of code versioning and build/deploy tools

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in order to communicate technically with fellow engineers, and other members.

• Graduate degree or higher in CS, Computer Engineering or a related field

• 10+ years of experience with iOS development

• 3+ years of experience with web technologies and /or working on backend development

• 3+ years of following an Agile development process

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with either Jira or Rally
