Freelance, Mobile App Back-end Developer 10-15hr/wk Remote

West Tenth is a digital marketplace app that helps you find the home-based businesses in your community. On West Tenth, customers can find locally crafted services such as event planning, interior design, custom jewelry/art/invitations, baking, photography, crafted goods and much more. West Tenth is currently expanding throughout Los Angeles and local communities around the US.

West Tenth is looking for a freelance engineer for 10-15 hrs/wk to perform the following:

• Maintain and improve code quality and organization of the West Tenth React Native iOS app

• Scope time requirements and implementation details for new features in coordination with our current, front-end developer

• Architect & Implement new features from design mockups in coordination with our current, front-end developer

• Make small changes to connected website

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with NodeJS & Express

• Experience with micro-services

• 1+ years of experience with React & Typescript - React native/Expo experience preferred

• Experience with Apollo and GraphQL

• Previous experience working in a team-based environment using Github, pull requests, etc.

• Experience working with Cloud IAAS - Google Cloud/Firebase preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience converting a React Native iOS project to Android

• Experience with Webflow

• Expected 10-15 hours/week - flexibility around when the hours are worked

• Hourly rate, commensurate upon experience ($40-$85/hr)
