Junior Software Developer (Remote)

EFS Networks is seeking a Junior Software Web Developer to work remotely for our Philadelphia, PA office.

Description:

Our Junior Software Developer spends their day working directly under the Software department head, managing a variety of projects for existing and new clients. The developer will work directly with the Lead Developer to determine tasks best suited for both long and short-term projects, servicing of Help Desk tickets, squashing bugs for existing applications, curating new projects from scratch, creating technical documentation, project research, server clean up and management, project labor estimations, working with Sales when determining new projects, and much more. Work is done via your remote home office with a strong internet connection. This position is primarily focused on backend software engineering development and understanding, leveraging the right language for the best backend software development needs. Top candidates must have troubleshooting skills, analytic skills, a stable home office, and the willingness to learn and grow within an IT company. Work schedule will be between 10-30 hours per week during normal business hours 9a-5pm EST. This position is a part time role, with the goal of eventual full-time employment for the right individual.

Experience:

• PHP: Minimum 4 years (Required)
• OOP PHP: Minimum 1 years (Required)
• Basic understanding of OOP practices (Required)
• Basic understanding and usage of Git work flows: Minimum 1 year (Required)
• Building frontend websites using standard HTML structure and SASS (Required)
• Ability to learn new languages or frameworks for the right project (Required)
• Code documentation creation (Required)
• Statement of Work scoping (Required)
• Research for future project scoping (Required)
• Linux command line and bash scripting (Required)

• ZoHo CRM experience
