We service many clients around the world by building dynamic and beautiful WordPress powered websites. We focus on providing full Web Development services from day-to-day website management, troubleshooting, page update requests up to building full fledged websites from Prototyping to Development and finally to managing.

Our clients are mostly small to medium sized businesses - and we only choose clients who absolutely LOVE their business and their product or service. This is important because we don't just choose any client to work with, we have high expectations for our clients as they also have for us.

We also build and maintain a few WordPress plugins featured on the WordPress plugin repository as well as build WordPress plugins for clients that offer specific functionality and/or integration with 3rd party services via API and webhooks.

What We Need Help With

  • We're looking for someone who is a quick starter and confident in WordPress.
  • Most of the tasks will involve using WordPress powered tools and plugins to accomplish a task (for example: page builders).
  • We also do more robust plugin and theme development in PHP - so having knowledge of PHP would be killer! But it's not mandatory.
  • The tasks we need help with range from simple website updates and changes, to building pages, to adding functionality to a website build, all the way up to helping our development team with parts of a website build.

About You

  • We'd love to find a quick starter, driven and motivated individual
  • You live locally in beautiful Portland, OR. Our office is in Tigard, OR off of Hall Blvd. You can work remotely or in office.
  • A robust knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Someone who is always learning and driven to learn new things (the web is everchanging)
  • Awesome but Not Required knowledge: Javascript/jQuery, PHP, MySQL, Server Administration (Linux)

We're motivated to bring on the right person right away! This job is part time and contractual - you'll be paid for the amount of hours you dedicate to our work and clients. You can work in the office or remotely. We have an extra office that you can call home if you'd like. You don't even have to work on Mintun Media work while working in it!

The Pay (obviously the most important part)

We will pay based on skillset. If you have been a web developer for 5 years, expert at WordPress, PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS - we'll pay you at the top of the range. If you are beginning your Web Development adventure with at least 1 year of experience, we'll pay based on your skillset. Just let us know what would make you happy.

PHP Developer – Short Term Contract

My client is currently recruiting for a highly skilled and talented developer for an initial short term contract based in South Gloucestershire. You will be working on an Open Source website that has been built in WordPress . My client’s users will have access to the site via a variety of authentication methods , these authentication methods will be built into a custom plugin, so commercial experience with similar projects is key for this role.

Must have:

  • Excellent PHP skills
  • Ability to build plugins or authentication
  • Experience with Advanced Custom Fields
  • Attention to detail – the client has provided a very detailed list of regulations that must be adhered to
  • Ability to follow instructions – documentation will be given to read as part of the onboarding process. This must be read and Understood and adhered to at all times
  • Able to work on site (Tytherington) – Then remote working.

Desirable:

  • CSS
  • Bootstrap
  • JavaScript

The focus of the project is back end PHP development. No front end work required. My client has used Advanced Custom Fields to manage the content so experience with this is also essential.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be

  • Creating Wireframes
  • Designing Website Mockups per creative briefs and other documentation
  • Attending / Facilitating client meetings with the ability to turn non-technical web directives and specifications into the product the customer envisioned.
  • Using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks to create images optimized for the web
  • Incorporating custom fonts with tools such as typeset, sift, cuff, and more
  • Enforcing, applying and maintaining our methodology while following project standards
  • Establishing the overall vision of the project while analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance while collaborating cross-functionally with other teams and team members.
  • Continuously conceptualizing and designing intra-office marketing resources for company website and social pages

Requirements
