As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll be a part of a small team rapidly designing and prototyping new features and ideas for current and next-generation Prismpop products. Working from our Los Angeles office, you’ll work closely with our Product Strategy, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high quality and thoughtful experiences to our customers. You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of design and execution, including pitching your ideas, designing the feature (visual design, interaction design, and prototyping), and partnering with engineering to implement your vision. You will be expected to be able to communicate your ideas to team members and leadership within the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Conceive new feature ideas and pitch them directly to the CEO
  • Be a leader - Prismpop is a design-led company and as a UI/UX Designer you will be expected to lead projects and teams
  • Design and prototype simple and intuitive experiences for Prismpop app
  • Contribute to all stages of the design process from user research to wireframes and shipping the product
  • Identify the needs of Prismpop users and improve on existing features
  • Help define the short and long-term roadmap for your product area
  • Regularly give and receive feedback on design iterations
  • Work with other designers, product managers, and engineers to oversee new user experiences from concept to launch

My client has come off the back of an extremely successful launch for one of the leading banks and as such have deservedly garnered interest from others within that sector for similar solutions. They are now in need of an experienced Software Developer (Contract) to join their team as they expand. The successful Software Developer (Contract) will be involved in developing out the solutions with the support of the existing team. This is a secure contract for an experienced Software Developer (Contract), 6m+ contract.

Current working practice

My client has continued to work remotely and hire through the COVID crisis and operate within a domain which hasn’t been adversely affected by these challenging times.

All stages of the interview process will be conducted remotely, as well as the onboarding of successful candidates. Once working remotely, you will have the full support of the management and technical team.

This client has had amazing success within the online retail and banking sector, and we at VANRATH were involved in helping this business secure a full contract team for their latest achievement.

For Engineers looking for a flexible environment (regardless of Covid), with good technology and a strong team morale, this is an excellent option. Your role:

  • Hands-on Design & Development, Deployment & Support of Angular 7 SPA’s, hosted on AWS cloud architecture running on Kubernetes with .NET Core 2.1 microservice framework.
  • Build scalable RESTful API’s in a microservice’s architecture in cutting edge technology that fits the solution (NodeJS)
  • Experienced in building both front and backend parts of an overall solution
  • Interact with Product Architects to deliver applications meeting Business Objectives
  • Document and follow best design and development practices

The skills you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of programming experience in the field of Computer Engineering and Development
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work with product owners remotely.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in building scalable, secure & distributed systems ideally on the .NET stack
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with designing & building customer facing software platforms
  • Excellent understanding of Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, bootstrap, Material
  • Excellent understanding of .NET CORE, MVC, .NET, MS SQL Server and other elements of the Microsoft development environment.
